What really struck us was the reference to making it easier for people to “use their consumption data to make decisions about their retailer and retail tariff options.” Like Mike says, “Both smart meters and access to electricity consumption data remove barriers to consumers playing a more active role in how they use electricity. One example of this is smart meters allowing consumers to take up innovative pricing plans that rely on time-based measurement of consumption.”– This is what Flick does!! Right here, right now.
We need to make sure everyone knows that there is a smarter (and fairer) way of managing how and when they consume power.
